Our Story
Born in the toughest rental market on earth
CasaVoya started in 2023 as ManhattanBNB, built for one of the most heavily regulated short-term rental markets on the planet. When New York City's rules wiped out most whole-apartment stays from the major booking sites, hotel prices spiked and travelers — especially groups and families — were left without good options.
We took a different approach. Instead of fighting the rules, we built a model that works within them: a trusted introduction service that connects guests directly with vetted local hosts. Compliant. Transparent. And dramatically cheaper for travelers, because there's no platform middleman skimming 14–18% off the top.
In 2025 we rebranded to CasaVoya and began expanding the model to other cities where regulation has created the same gap between what travelers want and what's actually bookable — Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Tokyo. The mission is the same one we started with in New York: democratize access to authentic, affordable travel, one home at a time.
